Coordinating Ministry of Human Development and Culture

Kemenko PMK (Kementerian Koordinator Pembangunan Manusia dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia) is the Coordinating Ministry of Human Development and Culture. Dewan Jaminan Sosial Nasional (DJSN)

DJSN (National Social Security Council)’s primary task is to assist the President of the Republic of Indonesia in formulating the general policy and synchronizing the implementation of the national social security system in Indonesia. DJSN provides the general policy framework on the membership, fee, and benefit of each program for guiding the BPJS (Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial or the Social Security Provider), a public agency established to implement the social security program. Ministry of Manpower

Kementerian Ketenagakerjaan Republik Indonesia is in charge for the comprehensive policy planning and implementation in the productivity and competitiveness of the Indonesian manpower, increasing the job opportunity and placement, improving the industrial relations and the social security of the workers, and monitoring the workers safety and health. Ministry of Village, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration

Kementerian Desa, Pembangunan Daerah Tertinggal dan Transmigrasi has the task of conducting the affairs of government in the field of rural development and rural areas, rural community empowerment, accelerating the development of disadvantaged areas, and transmigration. As mandated by the Law of Village the focus of current administration is to build nations integrity from the periphery, the village becomes the subject of development, implemented by the community. Transmigration also plays the key role as it entails community transfers from one place to another. Hence the preparation for transmigration settlement and infrastructure is crucial. The Directorate General of Culture, Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia

The directorate general of culture (Direktorat Jenderal Kebudayaan) is responsible for policy formulation in the sector of culture, film, art, tradition, history, museum, and national cultural heritage. During the administration of President Joko Widodo, culture is seen as the way of change towards the sovereign and independent Indonesia. Association of Independent Journalist (AJI)

Since its establishment, Association of Independent Journalist (AJI) has committed to fight for public rights for information and press freedom. AJI also focuses on creating a healthy press climate, marked by journalists that are professional, ethical, and independent, which can only be achieved upon receiving decent welfare. To build such commitments, AJI run programs focusing on socializing the ideal value of journalism and raising the awareness of the socio-economic rights of the journalists through training, discussion, research and publication, as well as legal advocacy. SEKNAS FITRA

SEKNAS FITRA or National Secretariat of the Indonesian Forum for Budget Transparency is a Jakarta based advocacy NGO established in 1999, which serves as a watchdog organization focusing on government spending and budgeting at both the national and local levels. Its aims include increased transparency of the entire budget process and citizen involvement. SEKNAS FITRA’s activities include analysis of the state budget, increasing public awareness of budget accountability issues, advocating for budget transparency, and legal reform to make financial regulations more transparent, accountable and participatory. Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia is an institute of higher learning in Jakarta which was founded by Atma Jaya Foundation on June 1, 1960. The main campus is located at Semanggi area, South Jakarta and the other campus is located in Pluit, North Jakarta and Bumi Serpong Damai, Tangerang. University Gadjah Mada

Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) is a public research university located in Yogyakarta, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Officially founded on 19 December 1949, three years after its first lecture was given on 13 March 1946, it is the oldest and largest institution of higher education in Indonesia. The Tarumanagara Urban Laboratory serves as the center of research to the Graduate Program of Urban Planning and Real Estate at the Tarumanagara University, Jakarta. It was first established in collaboration with Jakarta Community Development Institute to support, develop courses, and provide up to date research support for the graduate program, including developing knowledge about data networks and mapping the urban parts of Jakarta. Prakarsa Desa

Badan Prakarsa Pemberdayaan Desa dan Kawasan (BP2DK or the Initiative for Village and Regions Empowerment Council), also popularly known as Prakarsa Desa (the Village Initiative), works to improve the quality of statehood and national development through strengthening the villages in various regions in Indonesia. Prakarsa Desa’s ultimate goal would be a Village and Region-Based Integrated National Development, which can be achieved by assisting the villages with better village-governance through information technology and communication.
The heart of Prakarsa Desa’s activities can be summarized into several key areas: active participation and empowerment of the village citizens in the village development; connecting the village government with provincial and national government to create a sustainable synergy; pushing for village transformation in accordance with state ideology of Pancasila and the national constitution UUD 1945; and prioritizing the periphery area by strengthening the villages at the forefront / border areas.

Rujak Center for Urban Studies

Rujak Center for Urban Studies (RCUS) is a think-act tank founded on May 1st, 2010 works for transition of cities and regions towards ecological sustainability. It works at different layers from practical projects in the field to policy recommendation through research and believes in co-production of practices and knowledge as commons for all. RCUS also works together with communities to generate innovative knowledge and practices to form sustainable cities and regions. RCSUS is shaped by the different experiences and background of its co-founders who have been doing multitude of research, capacity building, and policy advocacy in more than 3 decades. Through practices, RCUS realizes that changes require designed steps, bigger magnitude, and collaboration, long-term commitments, perseverance, and serious organizing.

Pusat Studi Islam dan Kenegaraan Indonesia (PSIK-Indonesia)

PSIK-Indonesia or Center for Islam and State Studies is an independent and interdisciplinary research center established in 2005. PSIK – Indonesia committed towards the development and advancement of an open Islamic thinking. It also envisions the transformation of the Islamic society in Indonesia towards a democratic Islamic society which respects civil rights. Based on the vision, PSIK-Indonesia committed to interdisciplinary research on topics related to Islam, the state, and humanities. PSIK-Indonesia also supports the good governance in policy making and seeks to foster wide understanding on Islam and state issues based on the spirit of humanities.

Trade Union Rights Center (TURC)

TURC is a center of labor study and advocacy which supports the Indonesian unions with capacity development, advocacy and research. Since its founding in 2004, TURC committed to be the knowledge center on labor issues; to provide information, raise the public awareness, and increase the human resource capacity of the labor activists (formal and informal). TURC has been actively providing training and advocacy using the bottom up approach, on policy making and legal matter, as well as to communities. TURC also strives to engage in the multi-stakeholder dialogue to ensure a just and balanced industrial relations. The issues that TURC are working on are among others: the wage system, collective bargaining, health and job safety, job security, social security, domestic workers, industrial dispute in some industrial sectors such as manufacturing, and palm oil plantation.

Pusat Studi Hukum dan Kebijakan Indonesia (PSHK)

PSHK or Indonesian Center of Law and Policies Studies was established in 1998 under the umbrella of the Indonesian Foundation for Law and Policy Studies (YSHK). The Foundation intends to help drive several efforts of legal reform in Indonesia after the 1998 reformation.
PSHK conducts various research and advocacy work that have contributed significantly towards the improvement of law in Indonesia. With an average of 10 research activities each year, PSHK has established a good reputation in research along with several ministries, parliamentary institutions, and judicial institutions in Indonesia. PSHK also actively conducts legal advocacy activities in cooperation with several non-governmental organizations, especially in the issues of legal enforcement, anticorruption, human rights, environmental sustainability, alignments towards marginalized communities. In addition, PSHK also continuously builds expertise and conducts legislative drafting training.

Martabat

Martabat is an organization providing legal and management consultancy on the issue of social security and public health policy. Established in 2009. The founder of Martabat then established www.jamsosindonesia.com; an online platform providing information on the implementation of social security and health service aiming at supporting the implementation of national social security system in Indonesia. Representing experts, the founder, and the executive director of Martabat is also member of the National Social Security Council (DJSN).
