[ID] Tanya-Jawab Seputar Kerja Jangka Pendek (Kurzarbeit) dan Pengembangan Keterampilan di Jerman

The Indonesian translation of the Factsheet on short-time work and the short-time work allowance (Kurzarbeitergeld) issued by Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs - BMAS in Germany.

Short time work allowance (Kurzarbeitergeld) is Germany´s most effective instrument to tackle the economic and social collateral damages of COVID-19. It refers to a partial compensation for a loss of earnings caused by a temporary cut in working hours which enables companies to continue to employ their workforce even in the event of a loss of orders, thus helps to prevent job losses. By adjusting it to local circumstances in different Asian countries, it may be worth considering investing in this evidence based successful instrument -especially also to safe national key industries. We hope to stimulate the debate also in Asian countries about this possible tool, which has already proven to safeguard jobs and social cohesion in times of crisis.
