Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Continues Its Works in Indonesia

A renewed cooperation on the human development programs to accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals kicked off in Jakarta.

The cooperation between Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Indonesia Office and the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture (KEMENKO PMK), which was started in 2012, has entered a new period from 2022 to 2025. YB Satya Sananugraha, the Secretary of the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture, handed over the Memorandum of Understanding to FES representatives in Jakarta, which officially marked the beginning of the cooperation.

Under the theme of "Human Development Programs to Accelerate the Achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals," the cooperation between FES Indonesia and KEMENKO PMK covers the improvement of social welfare, regional development, youth and women empowerment in Indonesia, as well as international cooperation in the region and beyond. Partners in this program come from civil society organizations, research institutes, and universities in close cooperation with the local government. By engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, this cooperation is expected to support the acceleration of Sustainable Development Goals achievement.
